Over the past 20 years, we’ve seen a fairly predictable migration pattern with more people wanting to move to the Balmain peninsula than leave. People generally transition from the Eastern Suburbs and North Shore. Local residents who move often remain within the Inner West. The Balmain Peninsula community is also popular with Empty Nesters who return to have arts and entertainment on their doorstep. Plus we mustn’t forget our population of pets. The peninsula is known for being dog and cat-friendly – a bonus for anyone with furry friends.
